A large health insurer was challenged with customer billing accuracy and obtaining a comprehensive financial view of profitability based on accurate billing and claims payment activity from multiple lines of business.
The source of the issue our client was facing was based on data accuracy. Our team identified the various data sources, defined the reasons for data inaccuracies and managed all aspects of data mining and analytics. Once accurate data and reporting was developed by our team, we provided recommendations for various business questions that the client was challenged with, including customer billing adjustments and necessary customer communications.
The client was able to accurately process bills for over 5,000 customers and make adjustments for billing mistakes dating back 12 months. Process improvements recommended and documented by The Valde Group were instituted by the client which led to improved customer management.
